Tuition: $325 Member | $350 General (tuition includes $65 materials/snack fee)
Instructor: Alisara Martin, Meredith Neal
Location: VCA Greenroom
Our Late Start Arts series provides enriching creative activities on Chautauqua Professional Development Days (PDD). Students arrive at VCA between 8:30–9:00 am on PDD Late Start mornings, and the Chautauqua bus will transport kids to school at 11:30 am. Late Start Arts is open to homeschoolers as well.
Begin your Late Start mornings with fun fiber projects. Make portable fabric board games and game pieces; create fuzzy animals, emojis and monsters; concoct felt ice creams, cakes, and fruit to use as toys and ornaments. Weaving. Yarn bombing! What will you create with your colorful imagination? Meredith Neal Pickerel fostered her love of teaching art and science working at Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, and Alisara Martin is the fantastic art teacher at the Harbor School.
