Performance Notes

× Sinfonia Concertante Saturday March 2 | 7:30 pm

Symphony Tacoma principles Svend Ronning and Thane Lewis will perform Mozart’s spectacular “Sinfonia Concertante” for violin, viola and orchestra. Swedish composer Dag Wirén’s “Serenade for Strings” will round out the March program. Wirén’s credo, ‘I believe in God, Mozart and Carl Nielsen’ makes his light and entertaining serenade a fitting pairing for the great “Sinfonia Concertante.” The Vashon Maury Chamber Orchestra, Vashon’s community chamber orchestra, is led by co-Music Directors Justin Cole and Karin Choo. The group welcomes all musicians on the island who are interested in orchestral playing. Please contact VCA for more details.
